By accessing or using CentralFloridaLocal.com, creating an account, submitting content, or using features that require acceptance of these Terms, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not create an account, submit content, or use website features that require acceptance of them.
1. About Central Florida Local
Central Florida Local is a local discovery and media platform that may provide information about businesses, events, local deals, places to visit, community stories, and other Central Florida content.
The website may also provide directory listings, user accounts, listing-management tools, business and event submission forms, community story submissions, Spotlight services, advertising opportunities, and other features.
Some activities may be governed by additional terms. Those additional terms become part of your agreement with Central Florida Local when you use the applicable feature or service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, submit a listing or story where age confirmation is required, purchase a service, or enter into an agreement with Central Florida Local on behalf of a business or organization.
By creating an account or submitting information on behalf of a business, organization, or event, you represent that you have the authority necessary to do so.
3. User Accounts
Central Florida Local may allow users to create or receive an account in order to submit, manage, edit, or monitor directory listings and use other website features.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information
- Keeping your account information reasonably current
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Restricting unauthorized access to your account
- Activity conducted through your account
You may not impersonate another person or business, create an account using information you are not authorized to use, or attempt to gain access to another user’s account.
If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, please contact us promptly.
4. Accounts Created Through Listing Submissions
Central Florida Local may allow a listing to be submitted without requiring the submitter to create an account beforehand.
When this option is available, an account may be created or associated with the email address provided during submission so the submitter can later access and manage the listing.
Users are responsible for completing any account activation, password setup, or verification process required to access the account.
5. User Dashboard
Account holders may be given access to a user dashboard that can include features such as:
- Viewing submitted listings
- Viewing listing status
- Editing listings
- Managing profile information
- Viewing expired or rejected listings
- Saving favorite listings
- Managing preferences
- Submitting additional listings
Dashboard features may change over time and may not be available continuously or for every user or listing type.
6. Directory Listings and Listing Management
Central Florida Local may allow users to submit Business Listings, Event Listings, Local Deals, or other directory content.
Submitting or editing a listing does not guarantee that the listing or requested changes will be approved or published.
Central Florida Local may review submissions and edits before publication.
We may approve, reject, edit, correct, suspend, expire, or remove directory content when reasonably necessary to maintain the quality, accuracy, safety, or integrity of the website.
Additional terms may apply to particular listing types, including our Directory Submission Terms and Event Submission Terms.
7. Accuracy of Submitted Information
You are responsible for information you submit through your account or through any website form.
You agree not to knowingly submit information that is:
- False or materially misleading
- Fraudulent
- Outdated in a way that could mislead visitors
- Unauthorized
- Unlawful
- Infringing on another party’s rights
If information associated with a listing or published story materially changes, you should update it or notify Central Florida Local when appropriate.
8. Acceptable Use
You may not use CentralFloridaLocal.com to:
- Submit spam or repetitive promotional content
- Engage in fraud or deceptive activity
- Impersonate another person, business, or organization
- Upload malicious code, malware, or harmful files
- Attempt to disrupt or interfere with website security or operation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
- Scrape, harvest, or collect information from the website in a manner that violates applicable law or these Terms
- Submit content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights
- Use the website for unlawful purposes

9. Content You Submit
You retain ownership of content you own and submit to Central Florida Local.

This permission includes publication on CentralFloridaLocal.com and sharing through Central Florida Local’s official social media accounts and related promotional channels.
You represent that you own or have obtained the necessary rights and permissions to provide the materials you submit, including any required permissions relating to identifiable individuals appearing in submitted content.
This permission does not transfer ownership of your original content to Central Florida Local.
10. Share Your Story and Community-Submitted Articles
Central Florida Local may allow individuals, businesses, and organizations to submit stories, articles, photographs, and other materials for consideration through our Share Your Story form or similar submission features.
All submissions are subject to editorial review.
Publication depends on relevance to Central Florida, content quality, accuracy, appropriateness, and alignment with our editorial guidelines. Submission does not guarantee publication.
Central Florida Local reserves the right to approve, decline, edit, format, shorten, update, or remove submitted content at its discretion.
We may make editorial changes for clarity, grammar, formatting, accuracy, and consistency with our website’s style. We may also request clarification, additional information, corrections, or replacement photographs before publication.
Submitters are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide is accurate to the best of their knowledge and that they have the rights and permissions necessary to submit all included materials.
By submitting a story, you grant Central Florida Local the content permissions described in Section 9 of these Terms.
Submission does not guarantee a dedicated social media feature, video Spotlight, promotional placement, particular publication date, or any specific amount of exposure.
Central Florida Local is not obligated to publish every submission or provide individual explanations for declined submissions.
Publication of a submitted story does not constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or independent verification by Central Florida Local.
Central Florida Local may contact submitters regarding their submissions. Contact information collected for review and communication will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.
11. Public Information
Information submitted for inclusion in a public listing or article may be displayed publicly on CentralFloridaLocal.com.
Public information may include business names, event names, addresses, categories, descriptions, websites, social media profiles, phone numbers, hours, pricing, promotional offers, event dates, photographs, logos, submitted stories, and other information intended for public display.
Public content may also be indexed by search engines or copied, linked to, cached, or shared by third parties outside Central Florida Local’s control.
Contact information collected solely for submission review will not ordinarily be published unless it is separately provided or authorized for public display.
Please do not submit information for public display that you do not want made publicly available.
12. Account Suspension or Termination
Central Florida Local may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account when we reasonably believe that:
- The account is being used fraudulently
- The user has violated these Terms
- The account presents a security risk
- The user repeatedly submits misleading or unauthorized information
- Continued access could harm Central Florida Local, its users, or third parties
We may also remove associated listings or submitted content where appropriate.
Users may contact us regarding account access or account deletion requests, subject to information we may need to retain for legitimate business, security, accounting, legal, or recordkeeping purposes.
13. Central Florida Local Content and Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Central Florida Local name, branding, logos, website design, original written content, original videos, graphics, and other materials created by Central Florida Local are owned by or licensed to Central Florida Local.
You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit Central Florida Local’s original content without permission except where permitted by law.
These Terms do not prevent ordinary sharing of publicly available Central Florida Local links or social media posts through built-in sharing features.
Content submitted by third parties remains subject to the ownership and licensing provisions in Section 9.
14. Third-Party Content, Businesses, Events, and Services
CentralFloridaLocal.com may contain information about or links to third-party businesses, events, organizations, ticketing platforms, websites, social media accounts, payment services, or other services.
Central Florida Local does not control those third parties.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, the inclusion of a business, event, deal, submitted article, or other third-party content does not constitute an endorsement, partnership, sponsorship, or guarantee by Central Florida Local.
Your interactions or transactions with third parties are between you and those third parties.
15. Paid Services
Central Florida Local may offer paid services such as Business Spotlights, Event Spotlights, advertising, Featured Listings, or other promotional services.
Paid services may be governed by additional service-specific terms presented at the time of booking, submission, or purchase.
If additional terms conflict with these general Terms regarding a particular paid service, the service-specific terms will control for that service.
Submitting a free directory listing or community story does not create an entitlement to paid promotional services.
16. Payments
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers.
By purchasing a paid service, you agree to provide accurate payment and billing information and to comply with the terms of the applicable payment provider.
Refunds, cancellations, scheduling, deliverables, and other service-specific matters may be governed by separate terms applicable to the service purchased.
17. No Guarantee of Results
Central Florida Local does not guarantee:
- Approval or publication of a listing or submitted story
- Any particular search ranking or placement
- Website traffic
- Social media exposure
- Views, clicks, leads, sales, customers, or attendance
- Continued availability of a particular website feature
- That information submitted by third parties will always be complete or current
Directory listings, community-submitted stories, and other website content are provided primarily for discovery and informational purposes.
18. Website Availability
We may update, modify, suspend, discontinue, reorganize, or remove features of CentralFloridaLocal.com at any time.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the website, user dashboard, directory, submission forms, accounts, or other features.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, updates, hosting issues, security concerns, technical failures, or circumstances outside our control.
19. Disclaimer
CentralFloridaLocal.com and its directory information, submitted articles, and other content are provided on an “as available” basis for general informational and discovery purposes.
While we may review submitted content, we do not independently verify every statement made by every business, organizer, or third-party submitter.
Visitors should independently confirm important details such as hours, prices, event dates, ticket availability, deal restrictions, addresses, and other information before relying on published content.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Central Florida Local will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of the website, reliance on third-party listings or submitted content, interactions with listed businesses or events, account access issues, or temporary unavailability of website features.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

Central Florida Local may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our website, directory, community submissions, accounts, services, technology, or business practices.
When updated, the Last Updated date at the top of this page will be revised.
Continued use of the website after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
24. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
