Directory Submission Terms & Conditions

These Directory Submission Terms & Conditions (“Directory Terms”) apply to listings submitted to the Central Florida Local website, including Business Listings, Local Deals, and Event Listings.
By submitting a listing, you agree to these Directory Terms, Central Florida Local’s Privacy Policy, and any additional terms displayed on the applicable submission form.
General Submission Terms
By submitting information to Central Florida Local, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- The information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
- You have the authority or permission necessary to submit the listing and any photographs, logos, graphics, descriptions, links, or other materials included with it.
- Your submission does not knowingly infringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of another person or business.
- You will not submit fraudulent, misleading, unlawful, offensive, deceptive, or otherwise inappropriate content.
Central Florida Local may review all submissions before publication.
Submission does not guarantee approval, publication, placement, visibility, traffic, customers, sales, attendance, or any other result.
Central Florida Local may approve, reject, edit, correct, suspend, remove, or decline to renew a listing at our discretion.
Public Listing Information
Information submitted for publication may appear publicly on CentralFloridaLocal.com.
Depending on the listing type, this may include:
- Business or organization name
- Listing title
- Description
- Category
- City and location
- Business or event address
- Dates and times
- Pricing or admission information
- Deal information
- Website and social media links
- Phone number
- Photos, logos, flyers, graphics, or other promotional materials
Contact information collected specifically for administrative purposes, such as a private submitter email address, will not ordinarily be displayed publicly unless it is specifically intended to be part of the listing.
Content Submitted to Central Florida Local
You retain ownership of materials you own and submit through the directory.
By submitting photographs, logos, graphics, descriptions, flyers, or other content, you grant Central Florida Local permission to display, reproduce, resize, format, and otherwise use those materials as reasonably necessary to create, maintain, promote, or display the submitted listing and the Central Florida Local directory.
You confirm that you have the necessary rights or permission to provide these materials.
Central Florida Local may make reasonable formatting, spelling, capitalization, or presentation changes to submitted information without changing its intended meaning.
Listing Accuracy and Updates
Submitters are responsible for providing accurate information.
Central Florida Local does not independently guarantee the accuracy, availability, pricing, hours, dates, offers, addresses, services, or other information contained in third-party listings.
Businesses and organizers should submit updated information when material details change.
Central Florida Local may correct or remove information that appears inaccurate, outdated, misleading, or no longer applicable.
Business Listing Terms
Business Listings are intended to help visitors discover businesses and organizations operating within Central Florida Local’s coverage area.
By submitting a Business Listing, you confirm that you are the business owner or are authorized to submit and manage information on behalf of the business.
Business Listings may include information such as:
- Business name
- Category
- Location
- Description
- Contact information
- Hours
- Website
- Social media profiles
- Photos or logos
- Pricing information
- Other relevant business details
A Business Listing does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, partnership, sponsorship, or guarantee by Central Florida Local.
A directory listing is separate from a Central Florida Local Business Spotlight or other social media feature.
Being listed in the directory does not guarantee coverage on Central Florida Local’s social media channels.
Local Deals Terms
Local Deals must be submitted by the business owner or someone authorized to offer the promotion on behalf of the business.
By submitting a Local Deal, you confirm that:
- The deal is valid and authorized by the participating business.
- All material restrictions, exclusions, expiration dates, redemption requirements, and limitations have been disclosed.
- The business intends to honor the offer as described during the stated promotional period.
- Any promotional code, discount, free item, special price, or other benefit described in the listing is accurate.
Businesses are responsible for fulfilling and honoring their own offers.
Central Florida Local does not issue, redeem, administer, or guarantee deals offered by third-party businesses unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Central Florida Local is not responsible for a business refusing to honor an offer, changing an offer, closing, running out of inventory, or otherwise modifying or discontinuing a promotion.
Local Deals may automatically expire or be removed after the stated expiration date.
Central Florida Local may remove a deal early if we reasonably believe it is inaccurate, misleading, expired, unauthorized, or no longer being honored.
Event Listing Terms
Event Listings must be submitted by an organizer, host, participating business, authorized representative, or another person with permission to provide the event information.
By submitting an Event Listing, you confirm that the event information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge, including:
- Event name
- Date and time
- Location
- Admission or ticket information
- Event description
- Organizer information
- Registration or website links
- Restrictions or important attendee information
Event organizers are responsible for updating or correcting listings when an event is canceled, postponed, relocated, sold out, or otherwise materially changed.
Central Florida Local does not organize, operate, supervise, or control third-party events listed in the directory unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Publication of an Event Listing does not guarantee:
- Attendance by Central Florida Local
- Social media coverage
- An Event Spotlight
- Ticket sales
- Attendance
- Promotion outside the directory
- Any particular level of visibility or engagement
Events may automatically stop appearing in upcoming-event listings after their scheduled date.
Free and Paid Directory Features
Central Florida Local may offer free listings as well as optional paid upgrades, featured placements, or enhanced directory services.
Purchasing a paid directory upgrade, if offered, provides only the features specifically described at the time of purchase.
A paid or Featured Listing does not automatically include a Business Spotlight, Event Spotlight, social media video, social media post, endorsement, or other promotional service unless specifically stated.
Additional terms may apply to paid directory features.
Featured Listings
Central Florida Local may designate certain listings as Featured.
Featured status may provide additional website visibility, priority placement, badges, or other directory-based benefits.
Featured placement does not guarantee any minimum number of page views, clicks, customers, attendees, sales, or other results.
Moderation and Removal
Central Florida Local reserves the right to reject, remove, suspend, edit, or decline to publish listings that we reasonably determine are:
- Incomplete
- Fraudulent or misleading
- Unauthorized
- Duplicative
- Outdated
- Outside our coverage area
- Inconsistent with our content standards
- Inappropriate for our audience
- Potentially infringing on another party’s rights
- Otherwise unsuitable for the directory
Central Florida Local is not obligated to provide a reason for declining or removing a listing.
No Endorsement
The inclusion of a business, deal, event, organization, product, or service in the Central Florida Local directory does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee by Central Florida Local.
Visitors should use their own judgment when choosing whether to visit, purchase from, attend, or otherwise interact with a listed business or event.
Third-Party Businesses, Events and Websites
Directory listings may contain links to websites, registration services, social media platforms, businesses, event organizers, and other third parties.
Central Florida Local does not control third-party websites or services and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, policies, transactions, products, services, or business practices.
Any transaction or interaction between a visitor and a listed third party is between those parties.
Directory Availability
Central Florida Local may modify, suspend, discontinue, reorganize, or change any portion of the directory or its features at any time.
We do not guarantee that a listing or directory feature will remain continuously available or displayed in a particular position or format.
Limitation of Responsibility
Central Florida Local provides directory information for general informational and discovery purposes.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Central Florida Local is not responsible for losses, damages, disputes, injuries, canceled events, failed transactions, inaccurate third-party information, unfulfilled offers, or other issues arising from interactions with businesses, organizers, or other third parties listed through the directory.
Changes to These Terms
Central Florida Local may update these Directory Submission Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the directory, services, business practices, technology, or applicable requirements.
When these terms are updated, the Last Updated date at the top of this page will be revised.
Continued use of the directory or submission of new listings after updated terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
